The Precision Manufacturing Practice “PMP” was founded in 2005 by Michael Dochterman to provide dedicated insurance sales & marketing resources to the precision manufacturing industry. Over the past five years the PMP has more than doubled its book of business each year and we owe our gratitude to each of our clients and to the NTMA Insurance Program for our success.

In 2010, Michael Dochterman reorganized the PMP into a new corporate entity and licensed agency. Incorporated under Dochterman Insurance Services, Inc., the Agency is doing business as Precision Manufacturing Insurance Services (“PMIS”) .

PMIS is authorized by the California Dept. of Insurance under Resident Insurance Producer License # 0G98513, to transact business as a Fire and Casualty Broker-Agent, Accident and Health Agent, and Life-Only Agent. PMIS’s corporate office is located at 908 S. Village Oaks Dr., Suite 250, Covina, CA 91724, in a 2260 ft.² professional office building.

Dochterman earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA with a focus on Marketing. In addition to holding his current insurance license, he held General Contractors (B), Mechanical Contractors (C-20), and Electrical Contractors (C-10) licenses (now inactive). .
